I’m Sahra, a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Brooklyn who creates across illustration, animation, and design.
Originally from South Salem, NY, I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University with a double major in Film & Media Studies and English Literature.
I am now a full-time freelance graphic designer at the New York-based agency 19th & Park. Previously I was a senior graphic designer at Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine.

As a freelancer, I have worked with clients including Science Friday on NPR, Gal-Dem, and Intersectional Environmentalist. I taught a typography design workshop in 2023 with The Next IT Girl, a nonprofit that provides technology education to young women of color. A fun fact about me is that I was randomly an extra in the Academy Award-nominated film Don’t Look Up.
