HOMESTEAD POSTER

For our second collaboration, playwright Kaley Roth Mamo commissioned me to create a promotional poster for her second play, Homestead, a post-apocalyptic body horror tale that takes place in an isolated farmhouse.

I collaged this poster from two vintage images—one of a gynecological illustration of a miscarriage and one of a log cabin. I lit the windows of the house like eyes, like the organic folds of the uterus were cheeks and its empty cavern a mouth.

For the text, I used branching strokes to anchor the text on either side, suspending it, organic but inorganic.
